Is "Twerking" Dancing.

No twerking is not dancing.

Queen of Sheba Debutantes do not think twerking is "cute".

Last week I had a heated debate about the subject with a panel of women on facebook.
Their resolve was that twerking was a womans way to express herself, while my resolve was that twerking is nothing but an EMBARRASSMENT to the urban community.

...As if we really need another one of those.

Millions of dollars are contributed to the arts every day, can you really see yourself donating millions of dollars in the name of the artistic expression of "twerking", really? No, I didn;t think so. Imagine Madison Square Garden being sold out for a Twerking team? How about The Met, Lincoln Center, BAM?

When dancing an audience should be able to walk away with a better understanding of you but also of the awesome power of God and creation.  If twerking is your style, your perception of life must be dark, dull, complacent and uninspired. You can only do what you know.

The earliest known Dance  troups were found ancinet AAfrica. Egpt to be exact. They belonged to the scared temple of Het-Heru. Dance was a way to be thankful for life itself, through their bodies, women and men inspired as well as educated, expressing beautiful and soulful things with their bodies that their mouths couldn't; The "club" was actually  a holy place. Music was also seen as a gift from heaven.

Throughout the ages dancing has been used as therapy, entertainment, fitness, personal expression and fun. Still at its core it is EXPRESSIVE. What is TWERKING expressive of? Sex.  It is not inspring at all. I don't watch a twerking video and think, hey that young woman made me want to reach for the stars, or anything of the sort.

If it cannot get you that great job, married into a respectable family or a noble peace prize why do it??? There is no place in normal society, NONE, that can offer POSITIVE suport for this artform. Instead  realisticly it promotes low self esteem, un-meaningful courting, and irresponsible mating, and rape culture.

Expressing yourself should be something you are proud of. Having a behind that could do tricks is not exaclty and accomplishment and if you think it is you need to get your head together. If you feel sensual, be sensual but inspiring, not perverted.
